WINTER IS COMING … - TENTATIVE OPENING DATES LOCAL SKI RESORTS
WH20 DEC. 6TH & RED DEC. 12TH
During winter, Logden Lodge's location is especially unique
SEPTEMBER 23, 2019 • WHAT'S NEW
Is it ever too early to think about winter? Nearby Ski Resorts Whitewater and Red Mountain already are, announcing their opening day early this year.
And so are we.
We sat down with Bex Dawkes, Marketing Coordinator at Whitewater Ski Resort to learn more about her role at the ski resort and what to expect for the 2019/2020 winter season. Read the whole interview here.
Whitewater is the go-to-resort for most of our guests. WH20 is up the road from our Lodge, a short 20 min. drive from door to door. Over 623 metres/2044 ft of steeps, deeps, chutes, bowls, and glades are all there, beneath the ski resort's majestic Ymir Peak. Together with its impressive snowpack - annual snowfall of 12 meters/40 ft -, boundless backcountry terrain and its laid-back familial atmosphere, some do not want to ski anywhere else.
As the closest hotel accommodation to Whitewater Ski Resort
we have an all-in Ski & Stay Package all ski season long, combining Logden Lodge's luxury accommodation with Whitewater's powder pillows.
Logden Lodge, located South of Whitewater, to get you there quicker
Guests who stay with us longer than a few nights like to ski at least a day at Red Mountain as well. RED is a bit further out but very accessible at an hours drive (75km), located just outside the charming town of Rossland. With more than 2,682 skiable acres, 110 runs, 890 meters/2919 ft of vertical terrain serviced by 7 total lifts, and an annual snowfall peaks out on average at 7+ meters/25 ft, all in all reason to enjoy a day at this impressive resort as well.
